God that looks nice in terms of the first picture.
If you don't mind me asking - How much did it run you?
I'm still the 'original' owner because family vehicle and it doesn't get driven much. '94 that just hit 81k.

Excalseras -- I paid $4750 for it in 2010. It had 113k at that time, with timing belt service done at 75k, and every rubber hose under hood replaced a few months before he put it for sale. Orig owner had Warn lock-outs installed by the dealer in 2007 when he had a CV replaced due to torn boot. Mfr date on door jam says 10/95, and according to Toyota that puts it in the last few weeks of 1995 model production, which (also told by Toyota) incorporated different head gasket materials and/or assembly procedure to address previous model year issues. I'm not sure how true that is, but so far no problems.

That's pretty good considering how clean it looks in the first pic. The color looks like a pleasing shark gray, too...

I don't have any pictures readily available, but it seems most of you have taken off the running boards. I don't have mine lifted but do go mudding sometimes. Would you guys recommend keeping them or taking them off?

:ranger: New member, and though I would share a picture. Coming from the diesel life and just sold my 7th cummins truck. It is an odd feeling going from 650hp to 116hp.
1993 4 cylindar 5 speed 4x4
Changed all fluids yesterday, rear diff was pretty dirty.
I pick up half axles and new shocks this morning.
I went with the Cooper 235/75/15 to keep economy as best as I can.
Interior is amazing for 21 years old other than back door handle seems to be loose from the engagement rod.
The cat had been removed and it has an exhaust leak, I will put new exhaust on in hopes that is where it's coming from. If not I will change the exhaust gasket under the heat shield.
Lots of great info here, and look forward to your input.

My new to me 4runner

95 with 227000 miles rebuild at 130000, 4x4 5 speed manual, 3.0. I found out the hard way the rear diff has 4.11 from a 81 4 cylinder. Within the next month it's getting a elocker with the right gears 4.56 and 31x10 Firestone Destination AT. Picked it up for $500. Only real problem is there is no first gear. I'm okay with that because I got another transmission I was going to swap in my 3rd gen before it got t boned.

I know the feeling. I have a deleted and tuned 6.7 cummins and getting in the runner is hard sometimes.

94 Hilux Surf

Hi everyone, new member of the forum here. I've got a 94 Hilux Surf, 1kz-te 3.0L diesel with a Gen 3 intercooler mounted to it. I'm running General AT2 285/75/R16s, 2" OME suspension, Lokka diff locks front and rear, and a custom built cargo box in the back. Always looking at ways to improve the look and performance, so I figured that I'd finally stop lurking here and actually join the forum.
