1995 V6 Auto, Upgraded Injectors, and Slightly Advanced Timing

Thought I'd hop in and post my beauty of a 2nd gen. Absolutely love this 3.turd! Pretty much stock, but hopefully not for long..

Just picked up this 93 with 50k on a new engine. Doing the water pump and timing belt next week. It’s all stock besides the engine. OD reads 292k I’ve replaced the stock front shocks and am prepping to replace the rear coils and shocks to eliminate the sag. It was in very well maintained condition and it’s a present for the wife as she wrecked her car a while back. After the 3.0 blows up I’ll be swapping in a 3.4. The first appearance mod was removing the factory decals next I’ll be swapping in an 83 truck grill. Here’s some pics. Errrrrr nvm can’t upload pics? Lame....Likely my phone images are too large to upload. I’m not changing my camera settings to upload here.

Redid the roof rack for the millionth time
Its got some rock sliders now and some tube work added to the front bumper and I drilled some holes in the fender for a snorkel

I just starting building out my 1990 2nd Gen last wk with a lift, coils, shocks, tires and wheels...and updated the AC to modern specs as it had stopped working.

Next task is the door locks and the rear tail lock/window.

New Owner - '94 Hilux Surf SSR-X

Hey guys and gals, brand new owner of a '94 Hilux Surf. Only previous Yota experience was a '14 Tacoma I had for 4 years prior to moving to Japan... It was a love hate relationship so I got rid of it before coming over here. Let me just tell you, these people take care of these vehicles! This baby only has ~60k miles on it and absolutely 0 rust :| She was dusty as hell and the engine bay still shows it but all in all I'm pumped to get to work...real internal struggle debating if I'll mod her try to keep her original.

I forget about this a lot, but I looked at this 4Runner for my first vehicle. Don’t remember the year, but it was a V6 auto 4WD, super clean inside and out. My 14 to 15-year old self was heartbroken that we didn’t end up getting it “because the tires drove like squares.” That’s all I can remember of it, but from time to time I wonder where it ended up.

I went ahead and did it a couple of years ago on my 94 when I was going to run a full length basket. I think I extended it 26" and added about 5 1/4-20 nutserts. I just sealed the nutsert with silicone sealer when i did the install. 2 years later I have had no leaks. One thing I did do was use a collar around the drill bit so I didn't drill into the headliner
