Finishing up a head job on a '95 4R 3VZE. On the way "out" of the job (timing area) found that the #1 idler would not go on because there is material on the head right next to the bolt hole (top one nearest cam pulley - see pic).
This seemed strange - the #1 idler has a washer behind it so it can pivot with the belt. this washer won't fit there because there is a raised part of aluminum.
My question is this a head from a '92 or older 3VZE? (if that's so then the machine shop swapped heads - ouch).
Looks like I'll be grinding some material off to make this work - I wish the shop would have gave me the SAME HEADS as I gave them.
