2nd Generation Rear Bumper

I need a new rear bumper for my 1995. The old one is off, and I now I am repairing the body rot, minimal though.
I'm looking for an aftermarket bumper with a built in hitch. No other options needed, tire carrier, etc.

Personally I like the CGI style bumper, but it is only available for 3rd Gen and newer.

CBI Off-Road Fab.

Then there is CurleyRaceCars, their bumper is sharp, but not available for 4Runners.

From my research, really, the only aftermarket rear bumper option for a 2nd Generation 4Runner is from Trail-Gear Inc. Available from several online sources.

Toyota, Suzuki Samurai, and Jeep Off Road Parts

It has a non-rated hitch receiver, but elsewhere has been tested to 3000 lbs.

But I'm just not sold on the tube style. My 1995 4Runner is a daily driver and not by any means a trail machine. It has a stock front end, with no custom bumper planned, so the tube rear will look kinda out of place.

Then again, I could get the parts for a new OEM bumper. But then I would need a hidden hitch too.

Does anyone have another option or advice?
Would love to build one, as many have. But I don't have access to a welder or enough time really.

ill get pictures as soon as they are done. because the bumpers are built to order it takes a few weeks. but mine should be here any day now

Just wanted to reiterate that I would love to see photos of the complete project...

mine? dont worry ill spam the hell out of this forum with pictures of them as soon as i get them. i am starting to take back my recomendation though, the bumpers are still great, the best you can buy for that price, but im starting to freak out about the damn service. they told me it would be 2 weeks before i got them, and it has now been five. i have sent multiple emails, and have yet to get a reply. i have even called several times but every time i call the ass who answers the phone is to busy to talk to me.

That rear bumper is going to look shweet on your 2nd Gen :bigok:, this is exactly what I wanted for my Rear on my 2nd Gen. Can't wait to see how it turns out & when I can get my Front & Rear Done.

yep i am looking forward to it, but im beyond pissed about the service. there will be some choice words said in an angry tone via phone call tomorrow. :boxer:

if anyone has considered ordering from this company, hold off for a bit. i am starting to question the legitamacy of the company. its been 6 weeks now and there is always a new excuse. i have seen several complaints of this being fraud. however, one of the employes (maybe the owner?) offered to switch cars with me for the day because i can not get to there shop in time for my bumper install, wich makes me think it is a legit company, they are just really freaking slow.

Your advice is taken...
Keep us up to date.

Does anyone have the tube style bumper I listed above? Comments?

I'm back to thinking I would be best to put a stock bumper on and get a Hidden Hitch. Where have you had good success with stock style parts?

I'll sell you my OEM I'm trying to build my 93 into a trail rig SLOWLY. So i want to get rid of my OEM and get the tube style bumper:naughty:

Wow I must have had a freak luck experience I didn't do any research on Kenmtn I just saw that they had what I wanted (rear multi carrier bumper) and couldn't find it anywhere else. I ordered it 4 weeks ago and boom it's here well wrapped on a pallet perfect condition. Kyle seemed nice to me answered all 100 of emails and questions quickly which I've recently heard is rare, got exactly what I asked for and even saved a few bucks on shipping. Bumper is pretty nice IMO. We'll see how install goes!

happen to notice this post. I have a buddy that just bought a 93 sr5 and the back bumper has some rust holes in it. Are you still looking ot get rid of your OEM. He might be interested.

How much did you pay for the Mutli-Carrier bumper? I just requested a quote for my 95 4runner.

I paid 900 shipped to the west cost. Here's a crappy flick I took around 12:30 this morning its clamped in place right now. Please excuse the mess!
