2nd Start Switch Mod? Has it been done?

I know some land cruisers with automatic transmissions have come with a 2nd start switch allowing them to start in 2nd gear instead of 1st. Has anyone made their own switch for a 3rd Gen 4Runner? I've found 2nd gear is much better for starting in snow and possibly other conditions.

I would love this too.
The slushbox does do well, but I certainly agree that being able to start off in 2nd
sometimes is way nicer...

This would be a great mod! Cruising in 4-low on moderate to easy trails, it would be nice if you had the option of keeping the trans from shifting down to 1st.

My 2002 Subaru will stay in 2nd no matter what speed you are going, when you select 2nd. When you select 1st, it will stay in 1st. When you select 3rd or 4th(OD), it will shift through all the lower gears based on how the transmission was programmed. This is how I'd like my 4Runner to behave.

I'll have to add this to my mod list, but I'm afraid it will be quite awhile before I get a chance to do it, since I have so many other mods that I want to do first, unless someone figures out the wiring and posts a how to!
