2UZ-FE V8 Bolt Identification

I just replaced the head gaskets and timing belt on my V8 this past weekend but I ended up with two M10 bolts that don't have a home. I was pretty meticulous about labeling all the bolts but I kept some of the bolts with their parts which got moved/bumped around and a few times in my garage.

Anyone recognize these bolts? They're M10-1.25 x 40mm with a 14mm head.

Did my timing belt two weeks ago...

Those are 10mm, there's not a lot of 10's, mostly all the super important stuff are 12's and up.

These are quite a bit bigger than the bolts for the timing covers. Those are 6mm bolts with a 10mm head. These are 10mm bolts (diameter of threaded section) with a 14mm head/wrench size.

There is a really good set of videos on the OTRAMM (sp?) youtube channel about changing the t-belt on a 2uz in a land cruiser. You may want to refer back to that. If i remember correctly he goes over a lot of the bolt sizes

Good idea, I didn't even think to look at that. I just watched it and couldn't find those specific bolts but I did noticed the power steering bracket that bolts onto the RH cylinder head has 14mm head bolts that could very well be it. I did remove that bracket when I disassembled the heads.

I took a picture shortly after I bolted the heads on and noticed I had one of those bolts partially threaded into that bracket. I don't know why I would have threaded that bolt in there since I already had the power steering bolts/nut labeled in a separate baggie which are longer than 40mm.

It was on the backside of the power steering bracket which was not visible looking from the front of the engine.
