Quickest and easiest way is with a spacer lift. You can get a topout spacer which should give you the desired amount of lift. This is a fairly simple install, it just bolts on top of the existing shock assembly. You can do other options like new front shocks (i.e. Bilstein 5100's) but that will be more money. For the spacer lift, the Daystar Budget Boost seems to be a solid kit at a great price. You can order from Wheeler's Off Road for around the $30-$40 range. There are more expensive kits that may be "better", but if you do little off roading and it's mainly for looks then you should be fine with the Daystar. The biggest thing to remember is that on the front you gain double the spacer thickness. I.E. a 1 inch thick spacer yeilds 2 inches of lift. Thanks for the info, I called Daystar to ask about the spacers and they said their 1" spacer is less than 1" thick, which would lift the front 1". The guy said the numbers they advertise are the amount of lift after installation. Do you know anyone on here that installed the 1" lift? If it's only 1", then I'd rather not bother with it.

I have been researching this myself. It looks like it actually gives it almost 2"

Yep, the daystar budget boost yeilds 2 inches from what I've been told. I've searched into it pretty thoroughly. In the end, I'm going with the Toytec 1/2 inch thick spacer (will gain ~1 inch) and OEM FJ Criuser front springs (would do the rear but I have the air suspension and can't). The springs give from .5-.75 inches of lift depending on how worn they are and how worn yours are. So, I'm going to have probably 1.5-1.75 inches of lift with a total cost of under $100 for parts. I started to get the 1 inch spacer that Toytec Lifts mentioned, but IMO is the rear is stock two inches is too much in the front. Someone suggested this to me, and it's what made my decision. Get outside and put a jack under the front. Measure your height, then jack it up to desired lift. Step back and look. If it's not enough, raise the jack and get the desired amount (or vice versa). Doing that, I saw that 1.5 inches was where it would be on my rig.

Ok, so I got the kit installed with a few issues. I took pics and measurements but those are in the car, I'll put them up tomorrow.
Issue #1: Now that the kit is on, the VSC Trac, Trac Off, and ABS lights are on. I didn't touch anything electrical and can't figure out why those warning lights are on. The car drives fine and brakes fine.
#2: When disconnecting the driver side ball joint, my buddy busted the boot. Is it imperative to replace this immediately or can it wait. Also, how much would this run?
#3: Not very important now that I have the kit installed, but still an observation for others to consider. When trying to remove the nut from the top of the strut, the flat tip of the strut just bent up. I had a buddy take the strut assembly to his friend who had air tools to get it off. This may be due to a wreck I had about a year and a half ago. The wreck was to the same corner of the car and I'm assuming the repair shop used air tools to install the new strut assembly?

i take it you got an alignment? might be steering wheel misalignment, do you have a code reader? try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins.(reset ecu) if that doesnt work,hope this helps ABS, VSC Trac, and VSC Off Lights - Toyota 120 Platforms Forum VSC + ABS Problem - Toyota 120 Platforms Forum

I finished the install yesterday, so I'm getting an alignment today. Hopefully that's the problem.
