2wd front wheel bearing assembly for 2006

My wife's 06 has a bad drivers side wheel bearing. I am having trouble finding out how to replace it. Local shop says $530 to do it. Everyone keeps telling me to do it myself but I am having trouble finding the way to do it on 2wd, all my search hits show 4wd.

Also in my searches I keep coming upon full assemblies from bumper to bumper on here. How hard is it to use his kit? Is this something better left to a shop?

Haynes repair manual at auto parts store is about 25$ shows you how to do a bunch of stuff.

It should be just take the brakes off. Remove the 14mm bolts that bolt in place to the knuckle and either slide hammer it off or beat it off with large mallet. There is no axle nut to remove.

It's not hard to use his kit at all. It is the same process, minus a couple step, as a 4wd T4R. It is literally 4 bolts that hold the wheel bearing and hub in.

I have just done this. The complete hubs are 270 to just drop in. If you pull the hub and find a machine shop it cost you about 150. Either way you will save money. There are no special tool necessary and you don't even need the slide hammer. Just wiggle the hub and stick a screwdriver in. If you can do brakes you can do this.

But. Paying 270 for a complete hub and additional 260 for labor doesn't sound bad to be running again.
