Hey all just moved to NE Ohio and was wondering how much trouble i was in for with a 2wd 07 sport 4runner this winter I have only driven in snow a couple times. I just put BFG A/T KO's on a couple months ago.

Case in point, I drove my dad's Grand Marquis in a snowstorm (same features as the 4runner rear axle) and it did just fine, although I can rip through it much faster in my 4wd.
Plus, I think they use salt in Ohio so once that's down, its just like driving on a rainy road.

Is the 2wd 4runner rear wheel? where in NE Ohio because pretty much anything east of Cleveland is considered the snowbelt and winters can be really bad. As far as the salt thing it won't help much if you get a foot and a half of snow and they dont plow (although they are pretty good about clearing roads). In any case I saw plenty of people with 2wd sports cars, just have to take it slow and don't ride up on people. And the BFG's are sweet tires in the snow so you should be ok for the most part

I'll be in Ashtbaula I remember when I was a kid we got alot of snow but we moved before I was old enough to drive.

Well, not quite as bad as Chardon - but pretty close! You will find Rt. 90 can get hairy at times during the winter months.
A 2WD 4Runner will do just fine, espcially with good tires and some common sense. I forgot which automotive site (NCTD, edmunda ?) did the review, but when the 4th generation first came out they stated that a 2WD 4Runner did just as well or better in traction than many competitive 4WD vehicles.

You should be fine, especially considering the tires.
1) Your T4R is a rear wheel drive, a couple of sand bags (120-160lbs) in the back should make a big difference. If you run much more than that steering may become compromised.
2) Read and understand your VSC and Auto LSD feature. The normal mode works great for most situations. Pushing the button will necessary for certain low-speed situations. The VSC will aggressively cut engine output. When navigating a hilly driveway or a small mound of snow spinning the back wheels may be desired. Pushing the button allows the limited slip function to continue to work but stops the interference with engine ouptut. In simple terms you have to push the button to do donuts in the snow
