2WD S/C 4Runner - No Traction Snow, help!

We had a massive snow storm yesterday and well of course couldn't drive anywhere, this is my 1st year without 4WD. Have a set of Bridgestone REVOS, would an LSD improve my traction? Any help would be appreciated!

Snow tires are the first thing to try. They will make a massive improvement over your Revos. I had a limited slip in my 4x4 Truck and it worked just fine in the snow in 2wd, however I chose to drive in 4x4 because it just made driving easier.

Yes tires.. Blizzaks or better yet studs. 1 thought awd/4wd was mandatory in Canada :jk:

Yes, a Detroit TrueTrac will help a lot in the snow. I got tired of always spinning a tire in the winter so I had a truetrac installed a couple years ago. I think it was a great mod. Do not worry about losing lateral grip in a corner the truetrac is seamless traction. I love the way the rear hooks up in all conditions. I say go for it. If you can't set up gears yourself call East Coast Gear Supply. I never want to drive on an open diff again.

That's what I'm going to try for next winter, I was debating to get rid of it for a Titan. :O

2wd 4runner in the snow belt = disaster.

Best you could do is a set of blizzaks... they are cheap on tire rack... LSD won't do anything for you if your tires cant grip.

An lsd and blizzaks made my bimmer unstoppable in snow as long as it was under 3 inches or id plow. Im sure your runner would have no problem with snows, an lsd and cautious driving.
