2wd spindles the same as 4wd spindles?

Title pretty much is my question. I can't find a straight answer to whether i can use a spindle that came off a 2wd 4runner and use it on my 4wd 4runner. Can i do this?

I have a rwd f150 2005, also a f150 2006 FX4. The front rotors are crazy expensive for the rwd. The ball joints, tie rod ends all are the same for both. Would it be possible to swap the FX4 spindle assembly onto the RWD truck? The FX4 is being parted Tutuapp 9Apps Showbox out.

The rotors are not interchangeable. The 2wd rotors have the front hub bearings built into the rotors, hence the huge price difference. The 4wd f150 uses the CV axle but to set the hub bearing torque.

The 2wds are a normal axle but torqued to set the hub bearing. If you swap the spindles, you wouldn’t have anything to set the front hub bearing torque correctly without the CV axles which a 2wd won’t have.
