2wd to 4wd Conversion 1994

[Surf Wagon]

Have a 1994 with about 186K and would like to do a straight axle conversion so the truck can be used on the beach this summer. Who has the best kit to do this work and what font end, transfer case, transmission, etc. do I need to be looking for? Never done a ton of work on Toyotas, but would like to make this one go for awhile.

Your best bet would be to buy a 4WD version, and swap your tags over to it. Seriously

No problem.

A job like that is a lot of work, and if you don't have the mechanical experience, fabrication experience, tools, time, etc. etc. you'd be in over your head.

But it can be done if you really want to.

Got a couple of those going for me, but not all so I think I will pass and keep her a 2wd and look for another 4wd. . .
