2x4 Tire Size

I am looking at getting some more aggressive tires for my 2x4 SR5. I know some of y'all have fit some 275/70/17's on your stock 4x4's and TE's, but do you think these will fit on the 2x4?

When I purchased my SR5 the sales rep told me there was a different shape between 2x4 and 4x4's where the bumper meets the fender but I cant seem to see a difference. I know the TE and 4wd's sit higher but will that have a substantial effect on tire size?

Correct me if I am wrong but none of yall have tried 275/70/17 on a 2x4?
