i have a 95 4runner 3.0 and i bought it about 2 months ago with a slight rod knock...it has almost 195,000 on the original motor haha...dont worry the knock isnt bad...im thinking of putting a new crank and bearings in but i was wondering what is required to swap it out with a 3.4 is the wireing the same ?? dout it but jus asking emissions ??? just wondering if it would just be cost effective to put the 3.4 in over the 3.0 because i know the 3.4 is a better motor...let me know please thanx ~JAY

If you have the $ a 3.4 swap is the way to go.
ORS has a wiring harness and other things to make it easier.

When my 3.0 goes, I am thinking 3.4. A few things I have noted (not 100%, just read on different boards) The 3.0 manual is the way to go since the MT in the 3.0 will work with the 3.4. A 2" body lift makes it easier and also gives room for the engine to clear the hood. ORS does seem to be the mfr of choice.

If you go this route, let us know the outcome.
