3.4 5 speed. grind into reverse? right turn screeches?

I've got a 97 v6 5 speed. my driveway is steep so I roll down and while backing up onto the street i'll put the gear into reverse and it grinds a little going in while I still have my foot all the way in on my clutch.
so while moving I put it into the reverse spot, with clutch in, and grinds into it.
This might be because i'm pretty sure my shifter seat bushing is dust and haven't had time to replace it.
Also, sometimes it is a little hard to get into reverse sometimes. It will go halfway, and I will keep moving up and down and around until it finally goes in.
it only grinds when i'm moving though.
is my tranny dying on me or what?
also, some days it can be just fine and not happen to me.

Also, when I put my right turn signal on it screeches a little bit. almost like the nail on chalkboard for a second, and only one second. left turn signal is fine though.

I wasn't able to find what I am having and i'm hoping one of you guys are smarter than me and could help me out.

Easy, get it into gear before you roll back.. Shifter bushing wouldn't cause that, I just replaced mine a month or so ago and mine will do the same thing. Not sure but do some research on synchro transmissions; I don't believe ours has a synchro for reverse making it a little hard to line up the gear. Not sure if anyone else has a better more concise answer.

The signals I am not sure about but all of the old people down here in Florida don't use them so...

Our reverse gears aren't syncro'd. I always just make it a habit to shift into 2nd (or any forward gear) before shifting to reverse.

Any idea about the weird noise while turning on the right turn signal? It's not going the whole time the turn signal is on, just that half second from the transition.

I know the sound you are talking about. My spouses 97 3.4 does the same but only every once in a while. I think it might be the blinker relay
