3.4 Engine replacement EGR question

So I am starting with a 97 4 runner with 2 blown head gaskets and 259k miles, im about half way through my engine swap, old engine is out and moving stuff over to new one to install this weekend. a couple of questions though, . I ordered a used engine offline that was supposed to be also out of a 97 4 runner so the swap would be easy, well it arrived and it is apparently out of a newer Tacoma 2wd with around 120k miles or so they say. it is also an EGR motor where my 4 runner is not. So i have already swapped out the oil pan and pickup tube, moved the oil cooler over to the new motor, swapping out my water pump to accommodate the oil cooler (its almost brand new also) and new timing belt. how would you deal with the EGR, my thought is move my non EGR intake over and build a block off plate for the exhaust as i really dont want to deal with trying to swap out the exhaust manifolds.. does anyone see a problem with that or have other suggestions? any other parts i should swap out? I am in Oregon and do have to run it through a smog check 1 more me but since it didnt have an EGR to
begin with i think i would ok?

Is that new engine OBDII? Was it out of a pre-'96 Taco? As far as I know, EGR V6s were pre-OBDII. If this is the case, there may be other engine control/emissions issues. I think the safe way would be strip it to the block and use everything--manifolds, sensors, throttle body--from your original.

Otherwise, I suspect you are in uncharted territory.

this one has a diagnostic port attached the the throttle body the same as the 4runner engine that i assumed was obdII but maybe its something different. i have it stripped down to the fuel rails and plan on using all the intake stuff from my old engine. do you think i should swap out fuel rails as well? all the other sensors and plugs look the same in terms of my matching up to my existing harness.. i really dont know the year of the donor motor, i just assumed it was newer because it had an egr. now looking at the exhaust manifold on my 4runner it has the casting spot for an egr, just not bored out and no studs.
