Im afraid you wont get an answer from anyone because you havent done any research on the topic. When you do you will find many many threads on this site and yotatech( a whole section just on the 3.4 swaps can be found). So maybe read up compile your list and come back and say "i have xyz am i missing anything".....then you will get some answers

Yeah you are right. ..i am new to this forum and I just purchased a 93 4runner with a 3.0 but I also have another toyota tacoma with a 3.4 but is an automatic transmission and I don't know if the 3.4 motor will work with the 3.0 transmission.

Welcome! Dont quote me but with an adapter for the bellhousing i think it could work. But like i said nearly every topic concerning 3.4 swaps or any problem you can think of can be found here or yotatech

Any reason in particular to wanting to swap a different motor into your 4runner you just bought?

You'll absolutely get much more help if you do a little legwork on your own and then come back with more specific questions. I always feel like the guys coming in asking about motor swaps that don't even have the motivation to even begin their own research are dreaming. If you can't find the time to Google "5vze motor swap" and do a little reading, how are you going to find the time to complete an entire engine swap?

Well I don't have to get the engine swap myself, I have a mechanic shop and I can get my own guys to do it for me I just would have to guide them.but thanks for taking the time to write but I ask a question about what would I need to get it done.if you can't answer the question please just stay away.no need to get angry at people.thanks

Well it is nice to have the money to get things done without having to tire myself and that my friend its called being a business owner.when you actually step back and see the whole picture.by me working on a car I would not be able to see what is going on around me or what my business needs.But please don't get me wrong I can also work on cars but I try my best not to and if you want proof of how well my business does you can come visit us at 5710 south blvd charlotte nc 28217.thanks

Well I have acces to a lot of different cars and auto parts and I read once about a 3.4 swap that said a lot of good things about this engine compare to the 3.0.i am not trying to get it done right now but I would like to put an engine and transmission ready for the occasion.

This is very true. Just last week I went to move my truck and the clutch went straight to the floor, and it would not go into gear. I kinda panicked and my 1st instinct was to jump on here for help. Instead, I referenced the service manual that I downloaded from the Stickied thread, and determined that I probably need to replace the clutch master and slave since I keep losing fluid.
I watched a video of it on Youtube, and I think I can have it done and bled in about an hour this weekend.
If I still have problems after that, I will probably start a thread.

Meh I guess I'll give you a quick rundown. Bored as hell waiting for class to start. I already did a ton of research on the matter, since I was going to swap mines over winter break. Decided against it and just fixed the 3.0 headgasket till I have more time this summer. Already have myself an engine, parts, etc.
-Your 3.0 trans will bolt up to the 3.4. Id suggest a new clutch, throwout bearing while you are in there. (Use 3.0 clutch kit)
-You need to figure out the wiring, theres a whole thread on yota tech with the pinouts there or you can call ORS and they will make you a harness.
-Motor mounts are the same, and dimension wise the engine is similar in size.
-Oil pan is interchangeable as is the oil pickup tube.
-You need a manual ECM if you plan to run the manual trans or you can live with a check engine light.
-Hood won't clear, so either cut the hood or 1 inch bodylift.
-Exhaust is gonna be a biggie. You need to modify the exhaust to drop on the same side as the 3.0. On the 3.4, exhaust was located to the opposite side because of the driveshaft. ORS makes a kit for this, or you can cut op the 2 diff manifolds and mate it to one.
