1st Generation supercharger (oil just changed) for sale asking 1000.00 shipped. Bought this from a friend I already have a SC on my runner..., Comes with Everything you need to install, I have the vacuum lines also. This is in good shape approximately (83,000miles) front nose doesn't make noise and does not have play in it. Thanks for looking.

The newer or current supercharger kit(2nd gen) uses a single casting for the supercharger housing and plenum. It differs from the 1st generation mostly in respect to the bypass valve. In the 2nd generation the supercharger body has the bypass valve cast into the supercharger body where on the 1st generation it was a separate part that had to be plumbed into the works some how. This saves space and allows a more compact installation so it can be fitted to more applications. Magnuson has taken this to the extreme and made the supercharger body, bypass valve, and plenum all one casting to make for a very compact installation. Some people get confused thinking that the new supercharger is a totally different supercharger. It really is not. It is still an Eaton M-62, 62 cubic inch supercharger.

That's straight from Gadget, the 2nd gen looks a lot cooler but they both put out the exact same power..
 
Thanks for the info...I'm gonna have my mechanic look things over under my hood since I have quite a few miles and see if it will just kill it or if it's worth a shot...thanks!
 
Talked to my mechanic who said its probably not a good idea to put a SC on at this mileage...next engine he said. Soooo....still thinking about it. In the meantime, BUMP!
