3.5" Allpro coil - what shocks are you using?

Wondering what shocks guys are running with their 3.5" allpro rear coils and how do they ride offroad with no additional weight?

I have the superflex coils with 1.5" spacers on both sides and bilstein 5100s. Its rough and clunky. I think the 5100 is overpowered now but want the 3.5" lift in the rear.

any of the extended travel rear shock options available will work. the billys just arn't quite long enough

those would work just fine too. If you go with those I'd suggest the 2.5" Extended Travel coilovers from Icon too to avoid mix and matching.

I'm already set up with the Stage 2 kit from Icon, so those are good to go.

Im running Icon VS 2.0 Series shocks. They work great, and give a large amount droop. Ride nice too, a little stiff so I might have them revalved but overall very happy with them.

According to DSM (down south motorsports) the 5125' might not work due to too soft of valving. The billies are made for leaf spring applications not spring applications which need a much higher valving.

Funny, I just asked them about these today as I am about to buy new shocks for my all pro 3.5's.

I did hear the Walker Evan shocks that all pro sells match up very well. I might go that route, still haven't decided.

They also have a Fox option. But like the Icon extended ones I heard they ride a little stiff.

too soft? I thought they were a much more aggressive dampener than the 5100
Maybe I misread that on the toytec website.

Toytec states " These are an off road softer valved shock" .

I'd like to try the walker Evans but haven't heard or seen much feed back on that shock.
Any users of the walker Evans 2.5 rear with the allpro 3.5" springs?

Try the FJcruiser forum, there are definitely guys their running that set up. You won't find much info here.

i run the older walker evans coilovers and love them. They ride extremely smooth and very little body roll. Cant speak for the rears but if they're anything like the coilover i'd be pleased.

Im running tacoma extended 5100s they work great you just have to change out the lower bushing which isnt a big deal

I'm in the middle of doing this same thing and have had the exact same questions. thinking I'm going to go with the ICON VS 2.0 extended travel option and add the metaltech4x4 3" bump stop extensions. anyone else running this set up?

I have the all pro offroad rear 2" lift kit with walker Evans shocks and can't say much about it. The rear rides pretty stiff and I'm pretty sure I blew one of the shocks already

fffuuuuu. I really like my 2.0 Fox's but the Toytec Superflex springs are pretty stiff. Or im expecting too much.
