HELP 3 cd changer in 1996 4runner limited???!

ok I recently bought a 1996 4runner limted with the in dash 3 cd changer today as I was changing cd it stooped mide cd switch and gave me the error " E-02" and then I ejected the cartridge.... I looked at it an noticed it hadn't ejected the cd that was in it so I put the cartridge back and hit eject now it says "E-01" and wont even pull the catridge changer mechanism back into the dash! what do I do I need help ASAP!

well I hit a larger bump and the cd player miraculously fixed itself I love this 4runner!

I'll raise this from the dead since I found it with the search.

I just (yesterday) bought a '97 Limited. The 3 disk changer in it is also giving me a E-02 Error message. I first thought it was because there were not discs in it, but today after loading it, I still get that message. It ejects fine and loads the cartridge fine, but just sits there giving this error. Any suggestions? Running over bumps won't help.
