3" front 1.5" rear & 33"s-Help

Getting ready to put a 3" spacer lift on the front and a 1.5" spacer on the rear (03 sr5 v8 AWD). I want to get 285/75r16's . Currently truck is stock with 265/70r16's. How much lift can I expect to get from those changes? Also any suggestions on tires? Less than $1k please Not too agressive

It will rise it quite a bit and it change the look of the 4R completely. (see sig for mods) I'm happy with the BFG's and paid around $215 per tire. If you have your heart set on the 285's then you will be around $250 per tire. I was really close to buying the Nitto TG's but switched at the very last second because of the the tread life of the BFG's is rated a little longer.

I think its more like 32's...but I'm not a tire expert. I'm sure some of the other guys reading this could help you out better that I can. I will tell you to expect a drop in MPG.

For the 285/75 you'll have to have more lift. My brother put on the Revtec 3" (http://www.revtek.com/toyotasusp.asp#431) and had to add a 1.5" body lift and still trim the fenders to make it all fit. The only rubbing is on the body mount at full lock now. Looks great though.

You are looking at $800-900 in tires, $400 on the lift, $100 for the body lift, and install cost.

Presta24, you are correct...its a 33" tire (technically 32.7-32.9" depending on how aggresssive the tread is). You can use this site to get an idea on different tire sizes. As i said, the actual diameter will vary from tire to tire. Its the same size tire as the 285/70/17 that alot of people are running on here as the taller sidewall (75 vs 70) makes up for the smaller rim size.

Also, if you really want to run a tire that wide, you will need to look into getting wheel spacers in order to clear the UCAs and get ready to do some major trimming based on what ive read here.

YES, the black truck is a 3" with a 1.5" body (maybe a 1" body lift).

If it helps I know a 265/70/17 fits with no problems unless it's a square tire like the BFG A/T. Even then it's very mild rubbing at full turn.

Looking at the Dunlop Grantrek (since it comes in tons of sizes):
265/65/17 is 10.4" wide and 30.6" tall roughly.
267/70/17 is 10.7" wide and 31.7" tall roughly and fits.
275/65/17 is 10.9" wide and 31.2" tall roughly and should fit with minor rubbing.
275/70/16 is 11.1" wide and 31.3" overall. They will rub at least at full lock

When you say without any mods, are you meaning no lift or anything OR the lift and no wheel spacers? Either way, I would imagine you would still get rubbing with the 275 (although alot less than the 285) meaning trimming would still be required. As for the spacer, you should be able to run it without the spacers as I've read of a few people with that setup either on here or 120. Check this thread for 275/70/17 at stock height. Again, this all depends on the actual tire size and it being aggressive, square tread, AT, MT, etc...

NOTE: I have no personal experience with these larger tire sizes myself as I am running a tire only slightly larger at 265/70/17 (31.6")...just sharing some facts i've gathered.
