315's on stock spokes...a-arm clearance??

Ok ive searched just so you know and ive seen quite a few guys on here with 315's on stock sport and spoke wheels. I dont want to run any wheel spacers and would prefer to keep the stock spoke wheels for now until i find a nice cheap set of LC/LX450 8" wide rims. Im maybe 1/2" away from upper a arm as it is with 285's. Think id be ok with 315's temporarily? been eyeballing craigslist like a hawk and im always a day late. found a kid about 30 miles away with a set of 315/75/16 Cepek Crushers , can prob. get for $200. They arent new but have at least 30% tread left. I work from home and only put about 10K miles/yr on my truck so doesnt really bother me about them being used.

If you say right now you have 1/2" of clearance with the 285's and 315's are at least 1" wider, giving you another 1/2" each side plus the side lugs being an M/T,then you just might rub on the upper A's.

you will rub. just run wheel spacers. and jfyi you will have major issues with firewall clearance/ rear bumper clearance. Be ready to cut some sheet metal!

guess ill have to try and see, planning to go get them tomorrow. seriously doubt rubbing bumpers and what not, more interested in a arms. will post pics !

I've got 315/75/16. I promise you that you'll rub fenders, frame and pinch welds. I have the 1.25" spidertrax and I have maybe a 1 finger gap from tire to UCA so without the spacers its not gonna happen.

well another deal came across in the meantime for 285/75/16 Mud Dawgs with 17" alcoas so might try that instead. thanks for all the help guys

I promise too. It will really cause carnage if you try any hard wheeling on it. I have the same gap on my ucas with 4" bs wheels and 285's
