31x10.5x15 Size Translate into?

I have a question about tire sizing, I've read some and I found out what the sizes mean and that 15 equals 15 inch rims.

However, Why are my tires measured 31x10.5 when pretty much everyone else is going by something like 275/60/16 or something?

What does 31x10.5 translate into?

If you look at the manufactures spec for overall tire diameter for the 31" tires, you can compare it to other rim sized tires and that will tell you what is the closest other sizes. Each manufacture's tire sizes vary.
