330,000 km too much?

Howdy,

I've been looking for a new t4r since my 91 gave up the ghost. There is a 02 limited with the 3.4L for sale but it has 330,000 km's and they still want 9 grand. It looks ok, some dents and dings and the motor looks clean (all highway) but thats all been cleaned.

Sound like its worth it?

Around here they would probably get that price for it . As crazy as it sounds. That's getting up there in the mileage ( 205,000 ) , I would want to see full maintenance records if buying that . 330K with regular engine/tranny oil changes would still have a fair amount of life left in it. I think 9 is to much .

9 grand seems to be wayyyy too much for a rig with around 205k miles. But if things are that expensive in your area and it seems reasonable to you, go for it. Like XJeepguy said, just take a good look at the maintenance records first.

that seems pretty high offer 7 and be willing to walk away

7K is the most I will offer, too. I will look around though if you are not in a hurry to get one. There are good deals to be made out there if you are willing to wait.

My 2 cents and I am speaking from Las Vegas' point of view.

Cheers,

That's a lot of km's for an 02, but then again should be mostly highway to pile up that quickly.

I know I've been searching lately for prices to get an idea of what to sell mine at so for the year it seems pretty reasonable, obviously making up for the amount of km's.

I'll give you a good deal on a '96 3.4L w/ 70,000km's less!

I managed to find a nice 1999 SR5 5-speed with only 85,000 kms. Paid $11K. Got it a couple of weeks ago.

From my searching in Ottawa, that seemed an OK price, but not a smokin' deal or anything. Anyway, how often do they come up with less than 100,000 kms on them?.

Those 4runners seem to sell for a lot in Canada!

Good luck!
