34.1 inch tires are on

I have a 3/2 suspension lift AND a 1.5" body lift AND 1.25" spidertrax all around. But still had to do a significant body mount chop in the front. I am surprised it is that much work for us 4th genners to stuff 34 inch wheels under there. Especially since there is a 5th genner who has the same 275x65x20 duratracs mounted with just a 3 inch lift and that's what convinced me to go this route (see link in bottom of this post).

Having said all that, I am very happy with the outcome! No more yawning wheel well gap and mickey mouse wheels. The 5th gen limited wheels and 275x65x20 duratracs seem to 'fit' the car very well.

The only downside I see is not being able to run chains anymore. But other than that, I should be able to do all of the rock crawling I am used to doing, with more ease due to the ground clearance.

34s take a whole lot of surgery to fit on a 5th gen, too. If someone told you otherwise, they were lying or don't venture off of graded roads. Those wheel spacers make it worse at the body mount.

I agree on spacers making it worse at body mount. However, with the offset of the 5th gen wheels, without spacers, I hit the upper control arm so spacers had to stay on.

Does this still hold true? I've seen several posts recently where guys are running 34x10.5 BFG AT KO2s with only a suspension lift.

Those aren't really 34s. BFG lists them as 33.5 diameter, and BFG is pretty well known for lying about their measurements. I run 305/70/17 MTRs which measured out to 34.1 on my 17x8 wheels. I have done lots of mods/cutting/hammering and they still rub once in a while on the frame behind the LCA mounts and on my swaybar.

My tires measure 34.5 when new and with the 2.5 suspension lift and another 2.5 body lift and TONS of trimming I still rub occasionally. I had to cut the shit out of my body mount, hammer my pinch welds flat and even heat them up and bash them in a little. I trimmed the front of the front fender too, as well as the bumper cover behind the rear tire. With my new SPC UCA's I don't rub on the frame anymore. This is with a 1.5" spacer on the wheels.

Those look pretty good and I usually don't care for 20's. I would watch the rear bumper if you stuff them, looks like they will contact it.

I regret not going to the 34x10.50's when I bought my KO2's.

Here are pics of my completed body mount chop. Still rubs just a tad on passenger side under FULL lock, but front is 95% there. I intend to trim the rear bumper a bit and rivet the inner fender liner back on, that's for next weekend.
