Looking to get a 4runner with this engine in it, need to know what kind of gas mileage it gets. 3.4L. Seller says he is getting from 30-35 on Interstate. Hard for me to believe

I had a feeling this was more realistic. He said he has gone 390 miles on a half of tank. Don't believe that either.

LOL, sellers always lie about gas mileage. You would be lucky to get over 20mpg.

Yea it's a great engine but it has it's faults like high chance of leaking valve cover gasket. It's also not a very powerful engine but If you don't tow much and aren't expecting a crap load of power you'll be fine. It's a super repiable engine though.
