3400 swap wire harness for auto

Ive been reading on here about 3400 swap into a 93 4Runner 3.0l. I have been hearing that with an auto, the harness will not work. I'm guessing newer engine has different type of plugs. Ive also read that with some creative work some have got it to work. Has anyone tried to merge the two harnesses... use the plugs and a length of the old harness and adapt it to the new harness where those plugs are different style???

You're going to have to swap or integrate the 3.4 harness and ECM whether it's auto or manual.
