Just picked up a set of 315/75 mt/r's. haven't put them on yet but i did get my fix for the weekend...while i was at discount tire i mounted a 315 bfg a/t to the back and they fit great. finishing up the mods for fitting in the front this week and they'll be on next week.

Since this setup is my ultimate goal. What else are you doing to the front to fit the 315s? Shaving or replacing the A-arms? Re-gearing? As you know, I got the 3" OME lift and in about a year will be adding a 2" or 3" body lift. I should be good on the height then, just need to figure out the width and gearing. I figure I'll probably have to ditch the Tacoma wheels...

the only mods i'll be doing is 1" adapters all around. However, the closest point to rub is the a-arm at about 1/2" but the rears mount and stuff without issue. But i'm mounting limited trim in the next couple weeks so the wider stance will be compensated for. Turns out 3m adhesive is a lot stronger than i thought :)

just so I understand

Roor-the 1" adapters would be to bring the wheels outward from the vehicle is that safe to say?

So as the tires get bigger they need to move out away from the wheel wells? trying to visualize this....

it's not as much the wheel wells as it is the uca's, like i said i had no rub issues in the back when i put the 315 a/t on, i just want to be away from the a-arm and a wider stance as well, if i had all 4 backspaced like they are in that picture i'm pretty sure a strong wind would roll me over its just so tall and narrow.

thanks that is helpful-but I am not going that tall-you must be approaching 40 inches now ground to top of wheel well?

in the front i was 42.0" ground to wheel well, after the swap it should be around 44.2"

just think as the adapters as backspacing alterations, you want the same wheels with an inch less of backspacing, 1" adapters gets the job done

last test fitment today, tires will be on friday morning. thought i'd show a couple pictures, fitment is fine with about 3" of clearance from the bumpstop/inner well. i'll get her shined up and post up friday afternoon.

nice dude, once i figure out why my truck is leaning so bad (prob a broken shock) im going to start looking for some 35" terragrapplers and some 33" swampers for the trail

i dont plan on lifting the body so im just going to trim the hell out of fenders, but i cant wait to see what your truck looks like with the new meats on

Surprise! Ended up getting them on today but I've been at work since i finished. Install was a breeze everything worked like a charm. I took a couple pictures here and there but the nice ones will come later when i do my shoot for toytec and such. enjoy!

Damn it looks even more badass. But I'd have to agree, you definitely should put the black rims back on there. That is, if you still have them.

outstanding of course!

everything my truck wishes it could be-

nice look and better yet it all works well and gets worked if I recall correctly. (guys is that what IIRC means? still learning text)

Jealous as can be out here in the Rockies

Outstanding RooR -you are my new desktop background.

yes maybe the black rims would be nice too, really nit picking now....

No parking garages out your way I presume- you look almost as tall as some of the mildly lifted domestics.

costco.com used to sell the coleman racks for 75 bucks, don't know if that is still available or not. and i'm way out of range for getting in a garage, i'm 44 inches ground to well, i can't imagine what the total height is but with those lights on top of the rack i'm disqualified from everything except loading docks haha

some people were questioning the stuffing, i had a chance to check out the rear a minute ago

bad angle now that i look at it but no rub on either side at full stuff, i'll be checking out all fours in a little bit

those are the Wrangler Silent Armors? (tires)

I see your signature needs updating-like daily in your case!

Costco discontinued the Coleman rack-price went to $59 for a short time, then they flew out the doors.
