Hey all, I have been looking through lift kit after lift kit and trying to see how people fit the bigger tires on their trucks. I decided after much dismay that I am going to try to fit a skinny 35 on my 4runner. 285/75r18 is what I was thinking and I am going to start off with some aggressive Goodyears if I can afford them. (THEY ARE EXPENSIVE IN THIS SIZE!!!)
My questions are as follows
1. Has anyone used or heard of anyone using the Rancho Loaded quickLIFT Complete Strut Assembly? They are a quick 2 inches on the front apparently and I can add spacers from there if they dont take away from the suspension travel too much.
2. I know I will need new control arms, which ones are best for instalation vs cost. I dont mind having to replace them or fix them (I am a welder) so I just want to know which ones are best bang for the buck and do what I need
3. The tires are only 285's but they are close to max size, what should I need to trim front and rear (gonna make new bumpers out of aluminum with special bracing that I came up with to make it light but very strong) I saw the main body mount under the cab, anything else people can think of with this size? Should I need a spacer behind the wheel?
If I come up with more thoughts behind my constant searching I will ask more I guess.
