3D Printed Cup-holder Insert

a lighter color for me will work, i already know where to put a led on your adapters, also i might need to drill a small hole to a part to make the led shine through. my own version of modding your product will make a product greater.

Haha, well just shoot me a PM whenever you're interested and we'll get you on the order list.

OME Light shine through

Does it have opening to let the existing cup holder lights to shine through??

Once installed it is removal for cleaning etc?

Yes, they do have slits to let the cupholder light shine through. And it is removable for cleaning.

nice work one these, TiN! have you ever thought of making two separate inserts? i almost always have my big hydroflask with me and it doesn't look like it will fit in your insert. would be nice to have a single side w/insert for those days when i have my HF and my coffee. either way, thanks for making this. 4th gen owners have been waiting a long time for it.

3D Printed Cup Holder

This is really cool. Looks like there has been a lot of work put into its design.

As someone who owns a 3D printer (SeeMeCNC Rostock Max V.2) I am curious about the locking mechanism. I noticed that you squeeze the tabs together, which is a cool function, but have you had any issues with delamination aka splitting of the layers? Seems to me that over time that would likely be the spot of failure if it's being used constantly.

Just a thought.

That's the way he designed it, with one or two inserts. This is described in the post where he tells people how to order. You can get one insert or two.

Any chance you could post a picture of the final product, inside of the vehicle? Maybe a few shots with and without cups/mugs/water bottles?

Very interested, but would want to know an estimated ship-by date before ordering.

The delamination and sturdiness of the tabs was definitely an issue I had to combat. With the appropriate design considerations (support ribbing, thickness, and relief cuts) and printing techniques, I was able to get what seems to be great durability out of the tabs.

Pictures of the final product in the vehicle as requested.
