Any update on the wait list?

I do there's a queue lsit of customers awaiting their orders. He just got around to my order. Scheduled delivery is on Monday so I'm looking forward to trying it out!

I'd shoot him a PM to see where you are on the list so you can get a better idea of your ETA. I think it takes 24-48 hours depending on the order. Plus he's a college student so imagine the schedule he has on top of doing these orders.

Update: just got the 3D cup holders!

Thanks TiN - looking forward to the instal after I head to the store to pick up some gorilla super glue. Everything looks awesome on it - everything seems to be fitted perfectly. Love the clamp adapters - should be very easy to pull out once it's installed.

After one month and a week wait I finally got my 3d printed cup holders. I didn't really feel like they looked good so after some sanding and gloss black paint I think I got it almost perfect. There are some gaps that I wish were taken care of.

Have you though of using Flexible filament to add a size adjustment flap to the design? That way you wouldn't need inserts. BTW, I've been wanting something like this for 9 years (the entire time I've owned my 4runner.) I can't believe I'm just finding this now. Very Nice Design,

These look awesome!

What is the material you use to print it?

How close can you get the cup holders to match the black and silver metallic trim?

Can you make make the inserts really any color? Say hot pink?

3D Printed Cup Holders still for sale! Here's the "Standard" option straight off of the printer, waiting for the supports to be removed.

PM with questions or if you're interested in purchasing.

Just finished going through this whole thread, and PM'd you! Gotta say this may be one of the best parts I order for my Rig (given my current plans). Now just to decide what color to get for the Inserts... anyone gotten anything besides black/gray with pics/suggestions? I'm leaning towards red.

Hey TiN, have you considered printing with ABS then fusing the trip lip and body together in an acetone bath? It's not going to give you a structural weld but I'd think for these purposes it could be a way of getting them shipped in one piece. Granted you'd have to factor in the extra time/material, maybe offer a "gloss" version for a few bucks more or whatever.

Sidenote: Owner of a Reach 3D printer here.

having it for a few months, the side compartment of the adapter lip broke off since it is weak there . Now it is a pain to take the thing off if I have a bigger cup and need to switch.

I can live with it, but blah

Acetone is definitely a good way to weld the two components together, and that's what I did on my own cup holder. But for shipping purposes, it is easier and cheaper to send them disassembled as the upper lip makes them a more awkward size. Additionally, there is less chance of damage during shipping with the parts separated. Glad to see another 3DP hobbyist on here!

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your adapter. Can you PM me a picture and description of your issue? I'd be happy to help handle this problem!
