3rd Gen 4runner and the Rubicon

I was wondering if there are any 3rd gen 4runners that have run the Rubicon? I'm currently (slowly but surely) building up my 01 4Runner and when it's completed it will have the following:

Sonoran steel 1.2 Lift
285/75/16 Duratracs
Rock sliders
Full Belly Pans/Skids
Savage front/rear bumpers
Mile Marker Winch
Aussie Locker
1" BL

Is reasonable to expect a truck equipped with the above goodies will make it all the way through the Rubicon? That's my ultimate goal is to run the Rubicon with some practice runs on other trails first.

My concern is the IFS as is with everyone else on these trucks.

There are plenty of bypasses, stock rigs run through there all the time (granted they take body damage)

No bypasses for several areas like Big Sluice. It should be okay, but expect damage. Doors and glass especially. Just take your time and don't push the harder lines.

A few years ago I had a guy in a Land Rover Discovery on 33s with lockers front and rear follow us into the trailhead at Loon Lake. He was with a buddy in a Jeep. He had no rock sliders on it. By the time he got it to Rubicon Springs there wasn't a straight panel on the rig and the doors would barely open/close anymore. He ended up leaving it right before Rubicon springs with two front broken shafts and a broken rear driveshaft.

He kept saying that his wife was going to kill him. It was her daily driver.

Apparently the axles on those Rovers are really weak, along with the diffs and all their other general unreliability. :So Gay:

Is this Rubicon run going to be an open run? Any ideas on a date? :cheers:
