3rd gen 4runner lift or bumper first?

hello i have just recently purchased a 02 sr5 4runner 4wd. I am new to toyota's in general and new to the forum as well. I was wondering if anyone would have any insight on wether or not I should purchase a lift or a bumper first? I would have my local toyota dealer install both the lift and the bumper. I was looking at the old man emu 3 inch lift with arb front bumper. Im wondering if installing the lift first would interfere with the installation of the bumper or visa versa. also i was wondering if 33 inch tires are going to fit with the arb bumper. sorry for the newbie post but i cant find any other topics reguarding this, thanks for your input

Most would at the very least select the OME setup based on the bumper...

Here's how I'd think about it:
1) Bumper will change alignment no matter when it's installed. How much time delay between the two? Are the tires near the end of life?
2) With a bumper first I'd have to put up with a heavy front end and marginal springs/shocks for the job.
3) With a bumper ready OME I would have a slightly stiff ride but I'd get to enjoy the cool new look and extra clearance.

I'd try to get them both on fairly concurrently. I'd want to do the install, drive 100-300 miles, re-torque significant bolts, rotate the tires and do an alignment (IN THAT ORDER!)

If I had to do one first I'd do the suspension... That's just me though.

I have a few final thoughts too, I have no love for the dealer. Unless they are very cost competitive I prefer an independent that specializes in Toyos. Finally: WELCOME and Congrats on the '02! Before you blow money how's the t-belt? They have a t-belt that needs periodic replacement which costs a few $$$.

Do the lift first because then you can go out on the trails and it will cost you more. Depending on the lif you buy and the tires you buy, it would be better to get the lift anf go from there. The bumber won't really help you off-road, besides a winch of course. An ARB bumper will work with 33's better because you won't have to shave the front bumper. The lift will not interfere with the bumper.

It really depends on what suspension setup you are going with. The OME heavy coils(882's) will work with a ARB bumper but you should not install them unless you already have 200lb's + of extra front weight. The OME light coils(881's) will work with stock weight but will sag down once you add the bumper. you can also use the medium coils(883's) but they will ride stiffer than the 881's. This is one reason why i like adjustable coilovers because you can set it for stock weight. Then once you add the bumper, you can just adjust them to match. If you are really set on the OME suspension, i would do the bumper first.

lift first. But whatever you do, DO NOT have the dealer install! They will charge 2x what another shop would. Best option is that both the bumper and lift can be installed in the driveway if you have simple shop tools. Don't waste your money.

Ya id say get the lift first and then the bumper... thats how i did it and im very happy with the results. If i did it vise versa i dont think i would have been as happy since the front stock suspension would have sagged from the weight of the bumper and made it look lower then before.

Been there done that

Went with Toytec Ultimate lift and wheels and tires at the same time, very happy with the result, next up the bumper but from what I've heard the "must have" shrockworks bumper has a long lead time
