Ok guys, 98 SR5 here that I've been working through for two months since I got it. Brakes have always seemed a bit "grabby" but strong. Last night I went to stop at a yellow/red light and when I stepped hard the pedal stopped about half way into the travel and I got about 2/3 brake and nothing more. Worked fine a few more lights on the way home.
Today I went to drive it and it seems the problem as escalated. Same deal, the first half of travel is real catchy but once you get about 1/2 deep into the pedal travel its like it hits a wall and what you got is what you got. Hope that makes a bit of sense. Any ideas of where to begin looking? Brake booster?
She's not driveable and I have an offroad trip planned next weekend!
