3rd gen brush guard

Hey everyone, I'm new to this sorta thing. But, will a 3rd gen brush guard fit a 4th gen brush guard specifically an 03?

I have no idea really. It "could" fit, but would probably look weird....

But if you want one I have one for sale *shameless plug* :fro:

I did retrofit one off a 90s silverado to fit my 89 toy truck but that was without the headlight loops so it worked alright. Just did some custom bracket stuff...

All that being said, it would mostly depend on where the frame rails come and if they are spaced differently... Maybe someone that has access to both can help out more.

The question asks if a 3rd gen brush guard can fit onto a 4th gen brush guard, which doesn't make any sense and the answer is no.
But if you want a 3rd gen guard on a 4th gen vehicle, then the answer is also no. The chassis and body geometry are too different for that to work.

I'll answer the question behind the question here, too.

I used to think brush guards were pretty badass till I saw some pictures on this site of what happens in a front end collison with one of these on. In a minor hit, what would have been a new bumper cover and some paint ($500 or less), becomes a wrecked hood, fender, headlight, corner lamp and bumper (totaled). I was planning on getting a brush guard till I found that out. Now I'm going to just wait till I can get a proper plate bumper.
