3rd gen carpet kits????

Does anyone know if any of these brands do a carpet without the hump for the rear heater?

Did you ever find a replacement carpet that fits models without rear heat?

StockInteriors and all the ebay stores only sell moldings with a big hump for the heater under the passenger seat. ugh!!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Stock Interiors sells the ACC Carpets. ACC is a major player as they have the dies to mold the carpets. If you try to buy from them directly, they are more expensive than their numerous resellers online.

ACC offers the "mass backing" and they are the ONLY ONES to offer the vinyl floor replacement. Chances are, if you buy offline, you are buying an ACC produced carpet package.....

Great thread! I'm thinking of tackling this project over the Christmas break, after I fix the leak from the roof somewhere (potentially from clogged drainage or roof rack mounting holes needing to be re-sealed). I have the gray interior, but I'm thinking of going with black carpet. What do you guys think?

My wife's Highlander has black carpet, and I think it looks great. I keep the car clean, but I know our kids have spilled probably at least one apple juice on it. Black hides everyday stains pretty well, that's why I'm considering it.

Has anyone without a rear heater installed this carpet? I can not entirely see what all is different between a floor pan area with and without the heater.

I need to get carpet no question....but I dont have a rear heater. Any solutions?

I can only find info on people who have the rear heater. :(

Has anyone found a carpet kit for models without the rear heat box mold? I've emailed ACC and they only offer the carpet kit with the heat box mold. What other differences besides the heat box mold under the seat would prevent this kit from working in models without rear heat?

Great post!

Crap... Another unfortunate rear heater blowerless dude here trying to replace the 1996 4runner smelly carpet... Would really hate my guts getting into my car everyday and seeing the bulky loose carpet under the passengers seat. I won’t see it, but you get me.

Thinking on a few options here:
- buying a used blower housing just to fill the space
- throwing an old book in there
- try to remold with a heatgun (worried about changing the color / burning the thing)

Any ideas are welcomed!

Also... Would anybody mind to share their replacements with pictures and colors... mine is oak, thinking of going close to stock because of lack of creativity.
