3rd gen/ differential locker

On a previous thread I read that 3rd generation 4Runners up through '99, I think, had an option of locking rear differential. My question is, can one w/o such an option be converted to locking? There must be a kit for this. Thank you, Guy

To get the factory e-locker on a non e-locked model, you either have to swap out the entire axle for one with the e-locker, or you can modify your existing axle housing to fit the e-locker module which requires some cutting on the axle housing. There have been a couple of guys go this route.

4.3:1 I think.

I believe you are correct. I know that mine has 4.30's but I went on J.A.s site and looked through a bunch of specs to figure it out. Something about Limiteds came equipped with 4.10s and limited with the locker came with 4.30's, but I would imagine all e-locked axles have the same gearing in them.
