3rd gen Ditgital A/C control swap

Has any one attempted swaping their manual a/c controls over to the digital setup found in the 99-02 3rd gen ?


I have a 98 and it has every option that was avaliable from the dealer. My neibor has a 99 TLD with every thing as well, and he a/c control is the digital type. However I have seen some 99+ with the manual type. I would like to attempt swaping out the controllers. The only diffrence between the manual versus the auto is the the auto has a outside temp readout, plus it would require some sort of cabin temp sensor which im sure the manual one dosnt have. Any one able to offer any insight ?

I THOROUGHLY investigated this and it was going to run $1,200 just for the parts!

I'd stick with what you have. The slider controls are actually easier to use than the digital ones since you only need one finger to make adjustments.
