Most of the pictures of the 3rd gen that I see posted are in Dorado Gold. Seems like it was the popular color at the time and we all got the same color.

Okay, decided to take these pics today. I am still working on the 4runner, it will probably be back on the road sometime later this year as I only work on it on weekends.

What paint did you use for the calipers? It looks awesome! Just sent it to a friend

It's powder coat. Right now I am still using a small convection oven to paint and cure small parts after powder coating. I have to build a bigger oven I just haven't gotten the sheet metal to start the build yet. My wheels on the inner has been neglected since I got the car back in 2001. There are a lot of pits and some embedded rust that is really hard to come out. I am going to powder coat the wheels on the inner side and also the surface area with the same gold powder coat paint. But this is after I build an oven big enough to hold at least two wheels.
 
If it posts sideways, my apologies. My project 2002 I recently bought from my GF and is waiting for an engine. Tundra TRD w/ HD Bilsteins in the front and LC coils in the back. Im thinking about switching up the front springs to get rid of the rake.

The rake looks good and will be there when you need it, (loading up with cargo). I would leave it. When you level it, you can only go down... below where front sits.

Nice looking 4runner!
