i have been wanting fogs on my 2000 T4R for awhile. i've been looking around at the different options and after a bit, i decided on custom mounting some rectangular fogs in the valence on either side of the license plate. i measured on either side of the plate to see what size light could fit. its about 6" wide by 5.5" high i picked up some Blazer All-Weather Halogen Fog Lights from walmart for 20 bucks (yes i know they're probably junk) which measured 5 1/2"W x 3"H. i made an attempt to mount them without completely screwing up my bumper. here is what you gotta do.
Tools required:
10mm, 12mm and 1/2" socket
Hacksaw, sawzall, etc.
Sandpaper (grit # doesn't really matter)
Drill
1/16"bit (optional)
1/4" metal bit
1. Remove the license plate so you have room the work (10 mm bolts)
2. take a hacksaw, sawzall, etc. to the slat and carefully cut the plastic out
all cut out
3. after its all cut, take some sandpaper to the edges and remove the bits that were left behind.
4. now comes the fun part. if you get under the vehicle, you will see there is a support that makes up the bottom piece of the bumper
as you can see for my diagram thing the best spot i found to drill was in between the arrow on the plastic piece and the bolt holding the bottom piece of the bumper in place. same thing goes for the passenger side as well as the driver side. plus you will know that they are equally spaced.
since you are going to have to drill through 2 layers of metal, i would recommend drilling a pilot hole first then drilling out the size of your bolt.
5. once you have the drilling taken care of, find where the drill came out on the top of the support and cut a notch in the plastic where the hole is
6. ok. the hard part is over. now all that has to be done is bolt them on and wire them up which was pretty easy. fist, i'm expecting that pretty much all the lights that will be mounted here will not have a bolt that is long enough the go through the support. so i ran to the hardware store and picked up two longer bolts. get some that are at least 4 inches long so you have some room the play with. i would rather have them too long than too short...(thats what she said)

here they are bolted in place
7. after you get them bolted in. take out the bolt that holds the bottom plastic bumper piece and sand in down along with the metal around it. the ground your lights to it
(i'm sure you could use the mounting bolts for the lights. but i felt like separating them)
8. once you're done with all that. just follow the wiring diagram for the lights you have as i'm sure yours are different than mine
