3rd gen. leaking fuel :| can I get some assistant.

Not sure if anyone here encounter this problem before, but not too long ago my 4runner funnel neck between the body and gas tank gave out on me and started to leak fuel while I went to the gas pump :\, was wondering if anyone here have any positive suggestions for me? I already tried the JB Weld and it did not really help much, it just prevent the fuel leak by a bit.

haha thanks elton, I was just wondering if anyone try replacing it.
I am down for replacing it, just want some type of precaution before I go ahead and replace it, should I drop the gas tank?

Agreed....if the filler hose is leaking, then you need to drop the tank to replace it. I doubt you'd be able to squeeze your arm in there and undo that hose clamp. Run the tank pretty low before you attempt this job. A good floor jack will come in handy.

NAPA and some other stores carry a flexible radiator hose. If the size is correct, it would probably be cheaper than a Toyota replacement.
