3rd Gen Manual Transmission Question

I was wondering if the manual transmissions only come in 4X4 or if there is a 2 wheel drive option.

the transmission does not determine it the truck is 4x4. 4x4's have a transfer case after the trans.

im sure theirs a base model with a 3rz in 2wd 5spd flavor

yes there are R151F transmissions that are 2wd I cant remember what they are out of but it is something like a supra. Good luck on your search

Thanks for the info. I know the type of transmission has nothing to do with whether a vehicle is 4 wheel or 2 wheel drive...but I have not come across a 4X2 with a manual transmission. I thought maybe Toyota only put the manual with the 4X4's for some reason.
