3rd Gen + mountain bike

I was was riding my mountain bike this week and saw 3 lifted 3rd Gens at the trail head. This got my mind thinking. I tried to ask the question a while back in the territory section of the forum but I don't think many people go there.

So my question is, who has 3rd Gens and mountain bikes? To make it fun, post a pic of both and give a little info on your bike and also where you are located. Maybe this will give people some info to be able to have a Local meet and then a bike ride. I'll start:

06 Cannondale mtn tandem for me an' the kid. If the truck's mirrors make it, the bike will too.
Also on deck- hubby's Ellsworth Truth.

I have 3 other mtn bikes and a road bike too, but this is what's been getting the most attention since the kid got old enough to hang on and stay on. Hubby's got a road, mtn and modified road into cross bike as well. We met when we raced mtn bikes way back when.

So far the bike has been great and its very light. I heard about BikesDirect.com from a a friend and I was skeptical at first but everything worked out and what you get for your money is simply amazing compared to picking up at most of these local shops. BTW very few of the local shops source, build and sell their own custom bikes. Most just resell major name brands at a markup.

I bought my bike last year but here is one I would look at if buying today. The bikes change every month or so.

I was doing downhill bike things on my mountain bike lol. I need an air fork and a new wheelset lol they just aren't strong enough.

Tandem w/kid. He's 11 now, started right before he turned 4 with a stoker kit and modified handlebars. We're slow, very slow, but we get there eventually. The tandem is more stable than a single bike, switchbacks are challenging, forget bunny hopping and you (rarely) get air on the whoop-dees (we did on part of the Tipperary loop, kid said MORE...I said NO!).

I built both racks, but loosely designed that rear rack off of a "North Shore" brand bike rack. It works great for hauling any bike, but I chose to build a base rack system that uses Yakima brand trays for everyday use. (The one pictured mounted on the front bumper)
