3rd gen seats swap

Have you ever tried the limited seats. The limited power seats I have adjust several different ways and I think they are very comfortable.

No I've never tried the limited seats... actually didn't even realize they were different. I'll have to try and find a limited to check out. Prob would be a bit cheaper depending on if I can find them priced right a a junk yard or part out.

Otherwise, considering how much I've spent on my build... whats another $900? lol

What is it that you find uncomfortable about the seats?

On my 1st gen I made a little "Spacer" if you will, to raise the back 2 mounting points about an inch and a half, it made a huge difference in the angle I was sitting at, and was QUITE comfortable.

Bumping an oldie....Alex can you elaborate on your spacer? having had both a 1st and now 3rd gen, would your 1st gen spacers conceptually work on the 3rd gen?

I've always thought rear risers or spacers was the trick to more comfort (for my situation at least), but the inner rear bolts on the front seats are vertical..I haven't been able to mentally engineer something for those bolts.

I just used some conduit fittings I found at Lowes and put them under the rail. Not sure how you'd do that for the inside bolt "safely"...

Looked like this...

Agree'd the seats in my 2001 Sport after a few hours start to ache my lower back too. Not a huge fan. The seats in my 4th gen, 09 sport are much more comfortable but not a bolt in ordeal lol.

Seats?

This post sounds exactly like the beginning of my build thread. On the way home from picking up the Runner my wife and I both had bad lower back pain from our 02 sport seats. As soon as I got home I ordered some Corbeau seats and brackets from Racingseatsusa.com

HUUUGGE improvement. My stock seats have been sitting in the garage ever since. I can drive endlessly now with no back pain.

Hey, just in case those two OEM seats have made it this long, I'm looking for original 4runner (98) OEM cool (blue) moon mist (grey). ideally driver only if prefcet match Both if not.
thanks. Athens GA
