3rd gen sixx9

I have a 3rd gen and i was wondering if any body knows if i can put a set of 6x9 or 6.5's in the rear hatch. if nobody knows ill just try it and hope for the best. Or when i make the better sub/storage container i would just put em in there with some fiber glass

I'm pretty sure that 6 1/2" would be ok. On Crutchfield's website it says that they can fit "with modification". I think your just going to have to make a bracket yourself.

Im not putting them in the back doors. Im putting them in the trunk area on the 5th door.

I mean if you are doing something custom then sure you can make it fit. However I'd plan on building off the panel on the back rather than cutting into the actual door.

:iagree: Remember you have to clear that rear window which goes up and down and it's linkages.
