3rd gen starter going out or???

Hi, my 3rd gen now has 295 miles and for the last 3 months when i turn the key in the igniton rather than firing right up it only cranks once and nothing happens. Usually ill just retry and it fires up, but today i had to try three times before it would start. Does this sound like the starter or maybe the starter soliniod? I hate replacing things that dont need to be replaced but a far worse fear is getting stranded somewhere. BTW, the battery was just replaced last month.

Yes my T100 did the same thing on the 3.4 before I had it replaced. The dealership recommended just doing the bushing contacts but I replaced the whole thing.

My 99 3.4L did the same thing. I changed the contacts and now it starts first try everytime.

search starter contacts. These starters last forever and usually just need the copper contacts replaced.
