Hey man, what's up? I posted a thread a few days back about the same topic. I tried searching before hand but not much came up. Then I saw the sticky at the top of the forum for this very topic, though didn't find the answers to my specific questions. My coils are almost new, they are the '99 height Toyota coils, but the load capacity sucks, just like on about every stock Toyota truck out there. I'm not sure why Toyota just doesn't put some decent coils/leafs on their trucks. Anyway, I emailed the guy at Toyteclifts (Doug I believe) and told them about my idea to put Old Man Emu 906 coils on the back. He said it should work fine, they only give about 1" of lift, and should work with the Tokico trekmaster shocks I have on there now. The 906 coils are a little heavier duty than the stock coils, so should handle weight better. That's the route I'm going to take in the near future. When I'm done putting them on, I'll post some pics.

I guess I should give you some more background about my 4runner. I have the "best factory suspension" from Sonoran Steel. So, my 4runner sits at the same height as the '99s did. I'm sure when I put the OME 906 coils on, I'll have some rake, but I plan on adding cargo drawers and roof rack, so after this, I'm sure it will be perfect.

To my knowledge, heavy duty stock height coils no longer exist, the manufacturer was bought out and the springs were discontinued.

get aftermarket coils, factory are good but will sag again. OME is what I use all the way around, many people here use different aftermarket lifts including OME (old man emu) which you can get from Sleeoffroad.com - Toyota SUV Off-Road Outfitters or Home - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits sonoran steel makes good stuff as well Sonoran Steel, Sonoran Steel Custom Metal Fabrication L.L.C. Custom Toyota Truck Parts you can go mild or wild with a lift and get your 4r set up just the way you like it and for what you will be driving on/in/over/through!!

look at my sig it'll tell u what i run. i couldnt be happier, both on and off road. truly made it a different vehicle.
