I tried looking for a stance picture but havent found one. I have some one who has LC 8wraps they would sell me with 5125 bilstein. I am thinking about toyotec boss coilovers up front. Does anyone have this combo installed or have an opinion on it?

A lot of people run both of those setups. I don't run this specific setup but I think it's safe to say that it will work.

I am sure it would ride nice but dont want my back raked up too high. I am just going to buy the lc8 and bils it is a good deal I cant pass up. If anything I can sell it. What are you running on yours?

8 Wraps will give you quite a bit of rake if you don't have any extra weight in the back.

Mine's about 4.5" with an empty cargo area. around 3-3.5" (Level with the front) with 3-400lbs back there.

Yeah I keep reading conflicting things. I am just going to buy them and test it for myself. I am building a drawer system in the back so it should give me a little weight.

There will be a little bit of a difference since they're used springs so some will be a bit saggier than others, but the general consensus on 8 wraps is 4-4.5" unloaded.

With a drawer system I'd expect around 3/4-1" of rake.

Thanks for the info, sounds like I would be happy with that.

Toytec BOSS coilovers in front with 550 lb springs. I have not moved the collars to change the height from when I bought them (used) from A.Wilson, but I think he said he didn't change them either.
LC 8-wraps with Tokico Blacks in rear. I'm probably carrying 100-150 pounds in the back.

Here is my write-up when I got the install done. LINK
Here is a direct side-on view which shows the rake a little more clearly:

Yeah pretty much wanted to see how it sits..also curious of the ride qaulity.

Ride quality? The front feels good, like it was meant for the truck when used in a more aggressive manner. It is not too firm, but I suspect it is firmer than stock. The rear is good, but not perfect for on-road. I'm happy with it. I feel that it is just a little more bouncy and firm than the truck would come with stock. I don't have any complaints about it being too firm. I aimed to build my 4Runner for a 50/50 on/off-road setup. I don't need it to be a cushy, luxury ride. Also, I think if it were any softer, I would be complaining about body roll. FYI, I am not using sway bars front or rear.

So you have the exact setup I am inquiring about? I am not too concerned about luxury ride qaulity but it cant be to bad where my wife wouldnt get in it. My buddy removed the lc8 because it was too stiff but he had a bit of weight on the back at times.

Didnt even see the picture.. ShooterMcGavin much appreciated. Looks like ill be doing that setup. What size wheels are those?

I just noticed you are in JBLM :) You are welcome to come up for a ride sometime.

I think the BOSS coilovers typically come with 500 lb springs, so the springs up front are a little higher rate. There could be some other variables for the LC 8s in the rear. The shocks that are paired with them will have an effect. It might matter how many original miles are on them too. Mine came from a '96 LC, but that still doesn't tell us much.

Also, I don't have much experience with other suspension setups in 4Runners. My previous setup was the stock stuff, probably with the whole 270,000 miles on it. It was SOFT.

Front: Toytech/Eibach 3" spring on tundra 5100s set at the lowest perch.
Rear: Toytech Superflex coils with extended travel 5100s PN#33-187174.

I don't have any complaints with my fronts. They ride nice and it was a cheap setup. In the back, I sort of regret not going with lc coils. I do have a tiny bit of rake but I would like to have more since I run tools in the back at all times. I also have a bit of rear coil slap over bumps and it is driving me crazy. Despite the noise, they are a nice height (for now) and they flex quite nicely. They also provide a comfortable ride.
