3rd gen t4r rim combinations

Hey guys, I saw this add for trd rims that came off a 06 tundra. The first picture below. I was wondering if any of you have this on your 4runner or have seen any pictures of this setup. I want to get a sense of how it will look on mine if I were to swap it out. so if you can post a picture or a link with these rims on the t4r that'll be great! Ultimately, once i find the split 5 spoke tundra/sequoia rims in the darker hyper silver I will get those (on the nice jade mica green 4runner in the second picture). but for now I want to get rid of my sr5 5spokes or get them repainted or something. Thanks

The wheels you have on your truck are one of the more popular wheels for us. I think they're great looking wheels, but the reason I went with the Sequioa wheels was to clear the 231mm brakes.

I think either wheel looks great, but maybe save some money and look into getting your current wheels powdercoated?

Yea I definitely like my current rims, it's just that some of the paint it peeling off and it doesn't look so nice up close. I'm waiting for that day I can find some sequoia/tundra rims in the darker hyper silver color. But for now, I was trying to see how those rims in the picture would look on a 4runner. The guy on craigslist that's selling it says it came off of a 2006 tundra trd. I have searched and I haven't found anyone with those rims on a 4runner. My plan is to take the tires off of my current rims and swap it onto the rims on craigslist IF i get them (depends on how they look) and then get the rims powder coated. So if anyone has seen those rims on a 4runner, please post a pic or link it. THanks!!

Liny, you're 4runner is BADASS btw. I like how you have the red lip on the sequoia rims.

ya i got some stock 5stars for like 100 bucks and just threw on some flat black id like to go with some 16x8's with like a 4'' bs

If anyone knows how to photoshop, could you take the rim/tires from the tacoma in the picture below and photoshop it into my green 4runner? I wanna see how it looks because i'm considering buying them. Thanks!

haha it does look unique. I'm trying to work out a deal with the guy. do you guys think 175 for those rims are a good deal? He said he can do 200 but i'm trying to talk him down a little more.

That green one with the split 5 spokes is a good looking runner for sure. I wanna take off my running boards but I'm looking for front mud flaps first. something that'll continue along the lines of the front flares so it doesn't look weird.

I actually have the 2 pictures of your t4r on the beach and i admire it alot, and gonna be using it as a reference for modding mine if you don't mind. Do you have a lift on urs? doesn't really look like you do. Your grill looks awesome because you have the chrome bumpers and trim. I wouldn't be able to pull that off on my black sr5 flares. But i wanna see if the clear corners and bumper signals would look good. I also want the 01-02 tails but LED. they're just pricey. I also need to tiny my windows and take off the running boards.

It's not lifted, I do plan on tall 99 springs though. I'm thinking of doing a highlander conversion... but maybe. I have to replace the entire front bumper and I thought why not paint the metal bit green like the highlander 99. I'd also have to do the black flares, grille, and rear bumper but I am thinking about it.

The LED tails I think are one of the best aesthetic things you can do. I am more than pleased with mine. I tried tint matching my front windows to the back but they're slightly lighter. I did 30%, shoulda done 25%...

Clear bumpers and stuff look great. I have to buy another set of the corners cuz I cracked one on accident.

I'm thinking about putting a lift kit together using different components, maybe LC coils for the back with fully adjustable bistein shocks and maybe OME fronts or a spacer lift up front. I don't plan on wheeling too much, I want to maintain the t4r for as long as possible as it is my DD and first NICE vehicle as a college student. I'll have to find some front flaps soon so I can take off the darn running boards. I think I have the taller 99 springs, but since I put in a sub and amp, it looks like it's sagging a little. Where's the best place to buy accessories/parts for the 4runner? ie, clear corners, clear bumperlights, led tails (i want the smoked/clear) Mudflaps that contour to the lines of the highlander front fender flares etc. Oh and I'm thinking about redoing all the windows with darker tint. I want maybe 5-15% for the rear window and back seat windows, and maybe 20% for the fronts. and maybe a little bit on the windshield.

Those are all very good ideas. I use eBay for my accessories, so much stuff was missing from my 4Runner when I bought it that I had to find a ton of parts. For the mudflaps, use Toyota. The tint is up to you. I had a guy at my dealership do them.

Mine is the base model, 2.7 2wd. It's horribly slow and a lift would only make it slower. If I had a V6 and 4WD, I'd do a 3" lift and 285's.

those 16" tundra wheels are my favorite. I actually am not a fan of my oem 5 star's. If they are so desirable and someone wants to trade, lemme know!
