Dude I totally agree with the "tread lightly" concept. That was a trail and the only way to get up to the next section. It's a huge open place with trails everywhere for hiking, mountain biking, dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, and trucks. But there isn't one single fish in that damn lake! We fished all day from about 10am to 2am. No Yuengling in this part of TX, but they do have a nice Blue Moon variety pack, DELICIOUS!

Staying on the trail is often more difficult or more time consuming that taking that quick "bypass", but it has to be done. If I see something that "looks" like a trail but is less used or worn than an alternate route, I will always take the more worn route and stay on trail. I couldn't see the vid for some reason but sn0wrunner is right, we all need to Tread Lightly out there so we can enjoy the wilderness for many years to come, and avoid all of the trail closures. Bad stereotypes stick to all of us "big tire'd" folk.
